Spatially diffusing (projecting) the art of sound today by ceasing to liken devices to orchestras !
Digital & electronic sound materials have absolutely nothing to do with the instruments and performers that make up an orchestra.
Above all, the horizontality of orchestral sound diffusion no longer corresponds at all to the immersive challenges of current research in spatialization, including verticality.
Composers do indeed have the choice between written or improvised spatialization to acousmatically diffuse their work, but is this really interpretation ?
Isn't the word used out of context or, at the very least, somewhat overrated ? Given that most of the parameters have been set (recorded) in advance.
It seems truly unthinkable to compare the role of a conductor (and its complexity) with that of a diffuser (projecter), which is so much more limited.

Les matières sonores numériques & électroniques ont strictement rien à voir avec les instruments et interprètes qui composent l’orchestre.
Et surtout l’horizontalité d’une diffusion sonore orchestrale ne correspond plus du tout aux enjeux immersifs de la recherche actuelle en spatialisation, verticalité comprise.
Le compositeur a effectivement le choix entre une spatialisation écrite ou improvisée pour diffuser acousmatiquement son œuvre, mais s’agit-il bien d’interprétation ?
Le mot employé n’est-il pas hors-contexte ou en tout cas un peu trop surévalué ? Sachant que la plupart des paramètres ont été fixés (enregistrés) préalablement.
Il semble vraiment impensable de comparer la fonction de chef d’orchestre (et sa complexité) avec celle – si réduite – de diffuseur (projeteur).
