'KBL's First Unanimous MVP' Lee Jung-hyun Named MVP of Round 6
There was no disagreement. Lee Jung-hyun (25, Goyang Sono) was named MVP for the second consecutive round.
The KBL announced on Wednesday that “Lee Jung-hyun was named the MVP of the sixth round after the fifth round. He received 80 votes out of 80 total valid votes in the 2023-2024 Korean Basketball League Round 6 MVP voting, becoming the first unanimous round MVP since the round voting was implemented in the 2015-2016 season,” the league announced.
Lee averaged 30.8 points (1st overall), 7.1 assists (2nd overall), and 3.0 steals (1st overall) per game in eight games during the Sixth Round, while playing an average of 40:17 minutes per game.
Based on his Game 6 performance, Lee won the Assists, Steals, and 3-Pointers in the KBL Metrics Awards, which were revived after a 20-year hiatus.
As the MVP of Game 6, Lee was awarded the Round MVP Memorial Trophy and a cash prize of KRW 2 million.
